Superb in all respects except weight There are numerous imitators of Le Creuset that in general do a decent job, but none can truly match the real thing. The heat distribution, the control, etc, are beyond reproach. Yes, you pay for this in terms of cost, but a LC casserole dish, properly cared for, will last a lifetime (and beyond). The one snag is the weight. LC products are robust, but very heavy. All single men should have one of these Ok. I’m a single guy living on my own. I want to cook batches of meals and stick several portions in the freezer. This casserole pot is the business. I use it almost every weekend to cook up casseroles and curries. I usually eat one portion then stick 3-5 portions in the freezer. If I put carbs in the dish then I’ll get about 4 meals of 650g.
