Plunger not snug, grounds end up in cup Given that there’s not much to the workings of a cafetiere, mine has a disappointingly simple flaw. The plunger isn’t snug enough with the vessel so a lot of grounds escape and end up in my cup. It’s not a big deal and I only figured out what was happening recently, but as I said – it’s one of the few things that a cafetiere needs to get right.
