Excellent Sturdy and Strong Coffee Maker This is a solid piece – considering RRP is £30 for 0.35 L being sold for £13. I don’t understand some of the reviews here – Bodum is a quality brand, the glass is solid enough for its purpose, it is sturdy and well-built and looks very aesthetically pleasing. It also has a very sturdy grip handle which other coffee makers do not, such as ones made of steel or metal which make you feel like you’re going to drop it or the weight cannot be taken. To clear up the size issue: 3 cup does not mean 3…

Good quality but getting the right size is not too easy. I have been using mine since June and I am very happy with it. Bodum advise using wood or plastic spoons rather than metal which can scratch or chip the glass causing it to crack the thin heat resistant glass when you pour the very hot, but not boiling water in. The glass beaker has the following warnings printed on it: read instructions before use, not for stove top use, children and hot fluids should be kept apart, hot fluids must be handled with care, always use coarse ground coffee, always…

Whilst friends have had problems with the cheaper plastic ones and also their thermal glasses, I have enjoyed years of happy coffee making. As the 2-cup is not really enough for a Sunday I decided to buy the larger 8-cup. When the first product arrived with a small nick out of the class, but Amazon soon replaced it. My new press is great, made to the same very high standards I would expect from a product at…
