Buy Once, Cry Once I bought a Chinese knock off for a few quid. Good grief it was nasty. there was still swarf in the threads. This one might be considerably more costly than the few quid knock-off, but it is in a different world quality-wise. If you are looking at these then the old adage of buy once, cry once is very true. I might even take this camping with me!

Class coffee Makes a lovely coffee. The stainless steel construction is better than the aluminium – the taste is better and it hasn’t tarnished. It feels solid. The lid’s handle – a thumb press-thing – doesn’t quite lever open as I would expect but hey ho, it looks good and it’s manageable. I usually make a strong pot and it will do for two of us, perhaps three.

Broken handle Bought this coffee maker this year and it wasn’t long before the handle came away from the main body. I asked Bialetti to either replace it or mend it and I have been waiting now for a month for them to do something about it. They keep replying to my requests for something to happen with a standard email that says it may take a few more days as they have a lot of requests t deal with.
