Superb – better than the ninja desktop? I had the normal ninja (the cup size blender). although this is much bigger it actually seems to have the same footprint on my desktop. Probably down to similar size motors being used. This obviuously is much bigger so can cater for a couple or family. It does not blend it quite as smooth as the small ninja, but I put in nuts, frozen mango chunks and a huge chunk of ginger and they were belended fine. No sign of any fibre from the ginger. Powerful! Even though it quite clearly says 1000W I was not expecting how powerful this blender. And loud! But that comes with the powerful! It is very loud! Remarkably good This is a good-sized blender that is handy to have in the kitchen. Whether you are making smoothies, soups or stock it is perfect for the task. It is remarkably powerful and makes short work, for example, of fresh herbs and garlic for a sauce, and even coped with some liver blended with the aforementioned for a gravy. At £99 (at the time of writing) it is on the low end of the price scale for a powerful blender. Other big names are priced much higher and probably not much more effective.
